Job summary

Westgate Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, supported by Marquis Health Consulting Services, seeks a part-time Certified Medication Assistant. Roles include administering medications, assisting with resident care, and maintaining documentation in a fast-paced, team-focused setting.

The CMA must hold CMA certification, and often CNA or CHHA credentials, with prior CMA experience and strong attention to detail. Competitive benefits and weekend shifts offered.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Medication Technician/Aide Certification in the state of employment.
• Must also be a CNA or CHHA, as required.
• CMA experience is required.
• Experience in administering oral, topical, ophthalmic, and subcutaneous meds is required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications safely and accurately per physician orders and policies.
• Provide medications via oral, topical, ophthalmic, and subcutaneous routes as allowed.
• Observe residents for responses and report changes to nursing staff.
• Assist with basic resident care under licensed staff direction.
• Ensure proper storage, security, and documentation of medications.
• Maintain accurate records of medication administration and care activities.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to promote resident-centered care.
