The Arboretum of Winnie is seeking a Certified Medication Aide to join our care team. You will administer prescribed medications accurately and compassionately, monitor resident status, and document all activities in line with policy.

Maintain a safe medication area and protect resident privacy while following infection control procedures. Ideal candidates hold a Texas Medication Aide certification, demonstrate strong attention to detail, and communicate clearly with residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Holds a current Texas Medication Aide certification.
• Has experience and competence in medication administration procedures.
• Communicates clearly and demonstrates patience, discipline, and professionalism.
• Pays close attention to detail and ensures accurate documentation.

Responsibilities

• Administer Medications: PO, topical, and rectal medications per physician orders and policy.
• Monitor and report adverse medication reactions or changes in resident status.
• Document all medication administration in compliance with policies.
• Ensure safety: maintain control of the medication cart and a hazard-free environment.
• Protect privacy: safeguard resident information confidentiality.
• Adhere to infection control procedures during medication administration.
• Report any medication errors to the Charge Nurse immediately.
