Qualifications

• Holds an active Texas Medication Aide certification.
• Experience and competence in medication administration procedures.
• Clear communication and professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications as prescribed (PO, topical, rectal) per orders and policy.
• Monitor for adverse reactions and report resident status changes.
• Document all medication administration accurately per policies.
• Maintain a safe medication cart and a hazard-free environment.
• Protect resident privacy and confidentiality of information.
• Follow infection control procedures during administration.
• Report any medication errors to the Charge Nurse immediately.
