The ideal candidate holds a current Texas Medication Aide certification, has experience in medication procedures, communicates clearly, and pays close attention to detail. This is a full-time, on-site role with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Holds a current Texas Medication Aide certification.
• Experience and competence in medication administration procedures.
• Clearly communicates with residents, families, and team members.
• Pays close attention to detail and ensures accurate documentation.

Responsibilities

• Administer Medications: Dispense prescribed PO, topical, and rectal medications per orders and policy.
• Monitor and report adverse medication reactions or changes in resident status.
• Document all medication administration in compliance with policies.
• Maintain control of the medication cart and ensure a safe, hazard-free environment.
• Safeguard the confidentiality of resident information.
• Follow infection control procedures during medication administration.
• Immediately report any medication errors to the Charge Nurse.
