Job summary

Hireology is seeking a Certified Medication Aide to support residents with precise medication administration, following physician orders and company policy. You will document accurately, monitor for adverse reactions, and maintain a safe medication cart while upholding resident privacy and infection control standards.

Ideal candidates hold a Texas Medication Aide certification, demonstrate clear communication, patience, and professionalism, and pay close attention to detail in all documentation

Qualifications

• Current Texas Medication Aide certification required.
• Experience and competence in medication administration procedures.
• Clear communication with residents, families, and staff; professional conduct.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed PO, topical, and rectal medications per orders and policy.
• Monitor and report adverse medication reactions or changes in resident status.
• Document all medication administration accurately in compliance with policies.
• Maintain a secure medication cart and a safe, hazard-free environment.
• Protect resident privacy and confidentiality of information.
• Follow infection control procedures during medication administration.
• Report any medication errors to the Charge Nurse immediately.
