Job summary

NHC Healthcare Glasgow is seeking Certified Medication Aides (CMA) to join our nursing team. The CMA administers daily medications to patients in our facility, assists with ADLs, and coordinates with Licensed Nurses to ensure safe, effective care.

We emphasize accuracy, empathy, and clear communication. This role requires CMA certification and a commitment to monitoring patient conditions, documenting changes, and following physician orders.

Qualifications

NHC Healthcare Glasgow is looking for excellent Certified Medication Aides to join our nursing team! Must be certifed!

A Certified Medication Aide is a certified nursing assistant (CNA) responsible for administering daily medication to patients in a medical facility and assisting with ADLs. Also referred to as Medical Aide Technicians, their duties include monitoring patients, reporting changes, assisting with ADLs and following physician orders.

A CMA is a qualified and self‑motivated and extremely detail‑oriented person. The need to possess in‑depth knowledge of patient care procedures. Providing excellent patient care is a vital part of this job, that is why excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required and being attentive to patients’ conditions is a must too.

Responsibilities

• Deliver routine daily medications to patients as ordered.
• Coordinate with Licensed Nurses to assist with patient care and medications.
• Follow orders in detail on how to manage medications.
