Job summary

Wallick Senior Living seeks a Certified Medication Aide for The Ashford of Grove City to administer prescribed medications under licensed nurse supervision and document all administrations. You will promptly respond to PRN needs and any adverse reactions, while maintaining clear communication with residents, families, and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certified Medication Aide certificate from the Ohio Board of Nursing required.
• Completion of first aid training and CPR required.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications, as prescribed, and under the direction of a licensed nurse. Completes documentation of medication administration.
• Promptly report to the nurse, a resident’s request/need for PRN medications.
• Promptly report to the nurse any adverse or concerning reactions to medications.
• Communicate effectively with residents, staff, management and families.
• Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures that falls under the scope of the Certified Medication Aide.
• Provides physical resident care to include all aspects of personal hygiene and grooming.
• Answers call lights in a timely manner and responds accordingly to the resident’s needs.
• Any other duties as assigned or delegated by the Director of Care.
