Job summary

Ohio Living is seeking a Certified Medication Aide to provide hands-on medication administration to residents per physician orders and MA-C certification. You will document medications in the EMR, support activities of daily living, and uphold resident well-being and center policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current unencumbered Ohio Certified Medication Aide certification is required.
• CPR Certification preferred.
• One year experience in assisted living or human services preferred.
• Supervisory experience in healthcare or service industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Passes medication and treatments per physician orders, per center policy and MA-C certification.
• Documents medication/treatment and documentation in the electronic medical record.
• Provides ADL assistance and enrichment programming to residents.
• Adheres to each resident’s individual service plan and notifies licensed nurse of changes in condition.
• Coordinates resident care with clinical staff to ensure quality care.
• Maintains medication aide competency and awareness of best practices.
• Notifies licensed nurse of needed medication refills and documentation.
• Maintains communication with residents, families, and staff regarding clinical needs.
