Job summary

Colonial Village is seeking a dedicated Certified Medication Aide/Tech (CMA/CMT) to join our care team in Overland Park, KS. The CMA/CMT passes medications under the Charge Nurse's supervision and provides direct, hands-on care to residents.

Responsibilities include medication administration, condition monitoring, collaboration with the care team, and participation in dining and activities while maintaining infection control and safety standards.

Qualifications

• The CMA/CMT must complete an approved training program and pass competency exams to obtain CNA and CMA certifications.
• Evidence of CMA and CNA certifications is required.

Responsibilities

• Pass medications under the direct supervision of the Charge Nurse and provide hands-on resident care.
• Report changes in resident condition immediately to the Charge Nurse.
• Review Tenant Service Plans to understand tenant needs and preferences.
• Monitor Tenant Service Notes daily for changes in needs or health status.
• Assist tenants with medications/treatments as assigned and allowed by regulation.
• Respond to emergency calls promptly and follow infection control procedures.
• Assist in dining, housekeeping, and promoting resident participation in activities.
• Document changes according to procedures and participate in safety protocols.
