Job summary

Grand Living in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a Certified Medication Aide to provide compassionate care and support residents in daily activities and medication administration within our luxury senior living community.

You will work with health, culinary, lifestyle and hospitality teams to deliver an exceptional resident experience, following personalized care plans and state regulations, while building trusting relationships with residents and their families.

Qualifications

• Certified Medication Aide (CMA) credential required as applicable by state.
• One or more years of experience administering medication is highly preferred.
• Experience providing assistance with activities of daily living is highly preferred.
• Experience working with seniors is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including dressing, eating, grooming, personal hygiene, mobility, communication, and toileting.
• Support residents per personalized care plans while promoting dignity, independence, and well-being.
• Administer medications safely and accurately within certification and scope of practice.
• Observe residents and report changes to the nursing team.
• Build meaningful relationships with residents and families in a warm, engaging atmosphere.
• Contribute to wellness programs, dining experiences, and special events while collaborating with teams.
