OPCO Skilled Management is seeking a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to work under the direct supervision of the charge nurse. The CMA will ensure timely and accurate med passes to maintain high-quality resident care, while adhering to policies and procedures.

Qualified candidates hold current CMA certification and have good English communication skills. The role is full-time with benefits and includes a 2PM-10PM schedule in Texas.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively in English through both speech and writing.
• Previous patient care experience preferred.
• Current certification for Medication Aide.

Responsabilités

• Participate in Shift Report.
• Perform routine patient care in accordance with applicable policies.
• Employ preventative and restorative measures.
• Follow infection control guidelines during patient care.
• Reports promptly any change of patient condition to supervision.
• Follow charting guidelines for PRN documentation.
• Reports medication reorder and other concerns.
• Participates in meetings and trainings.
• Inventory drugs on designated forms.

Job Summary

Certified Medication Aide (CMA) will be under the direct supervision of the charge nurse. The charge nurse will follow up with the CMA to ensure the med pass is completed timely and accurately to assure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to communicate effectively in English through both speech and writing.

Previous patient care experience preferred.

Current certification for Medication Aide.

CLINICAL

• Participate in Shift Report.
• Perform routine patient care in accordance with Federal, State, Company and Center nursing policies and procedures.
• Employs preventative and restorative measures.
• Follows hand washing techniques and other infection control guidelines during the performance of patient care.

ADMINISTRATIVE

• Reports promptly any change of patient condition or other concerns to Patient Care Supervisor.
• Follow charting guidelines for PRN documentation.
• Reports medication reorder, etc.
• Participates in all assigned meetings.
• Participates in all training, education or in-service as required.
• Inventory drugs, on the designated forms, as they arrive.
