Job summary

San Antonio Wellness and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to work under the supervision of the charge nurse. The CMA will help ensure timely and accurate med passes to maintain high-quality resident care.

The role requires English communication, current CMA certification, and preferred prior patient care experience. Schedule is 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with full-time benefits including health, dental, vision, PTO, and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• Must communicate clearly in English, both spoken and written.
• Previous patient care experience preferred.
• Current certification as Medication Aide required.

Responsibilities

• Reports promptly any change of patient condition or other concerns to Patient Care Supervisor.
• Follow charting guidelines for PRN documentation.
• Reports medication reorder.
• Participates in all assigned meetings, trainings, education and in-service as required.
• Inventory documentation of drugs on appropriate forms.
• Current certification for Medication Aide.

Your Job Summary

The Certified Medication Aide (CMA) is under the direct supervision of the charge nurse. The charge nurse will follow up with the CMA to ensure the med pass is completed timely and accurately to assure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to communicate effectively in English through both speech and writing.
