The Chandler Healthcare Center is seeking a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to administer prescribed medications under the supervision of a licensed nurse, and to assist residents with daily living activities.

The CMA will monitor for side effects, document accurately, maintain confidentiality under HIPAA, follow safety and infection-control protocols, and communicate promptly with nurses, physicians, families, and other members of the health care team.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (if required by state).
• Current Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification.
• CPR/BLS certification (preferred or required by employer).
• Knowledge of medication administration procedures and safety practices.

Responsabilidades

• Administer prescribed medications according to physician orders and facility policies.
• Accurately document medication administration and maintain medication records.
• Observe patients for medication effectiveness, adverse reactions, or changes in condition and report concerns to the licensed nurse.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating, as needed.
• Measure and record vital signs when required.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning of residents.
• Ensure medication carts and supplies are clean, organized, and properly stocked.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
• Follow infection control, safety, and medication administration protocols.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, nurses, physicians, and other healthcare team members.
• Respond promptly to resident needs and emergency situations.
