Dial in Valley, NE, is seeking a CMA to administer medications to residents per physician orders and service plans while providing personal care and support. The role includes documenting administration, monitoring residents, and reporting changes to nursing leadership.

Qualifications

• Certified Medication Aide certificate or state med pass certificate.
• First aid training completed.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience working with older adults.
• Experience in medication administration.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications accurately according to physician and service plan.
• Document medications administered and those not given per regulations.
• Monitor health, safety and well-being of residents.
• Record changes in residents' status, needs, appointments, vitals, etc.
• Complete incident reports and documentation on residents' records.
• Respond to emergencies; provide first-aid and arrange medical follow-up.
• Report concerns to DON/ADON or Executive Director.
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, eating, hygiene and mobility.
• Assist with oxygen and other conditions per the plan.
• Assist with laundry, bed making, and serving meals.
• Identify supplies needed and report to DON.
• Encourage socialization and promote activities.
• Chaperone activities outside the facility when requested.
• Maintain a safe, home-like environment and uphold confidentiality.
• Attend staff meetings and in-services.
• Report on-the-job injuries to the supervisor by shift end.
• Other duties as assigned.
