Care Initiatives in Iowa is seeking a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) for part-time weekend and evening shifts across our skilled nursing communities. You will assist residents with daily living, administer medications, monitor health, and collaborate with the care team.

A CNA in Iowa and a Medication Aide certification are required or can be activated. This part-time role offers a competitive hourly wage with shift differentials and the opportunity to work across multiple communities,

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification in Iowa or able to activate.
• Valid certification as a Medication Aide in Iowa or able to activate.
• Strong commitment to resident care, professionalism, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Support daily living activities and assisting with medications.
• Deliver companionship and emotional support to residents.
• Monitor health and perform routine vital checks.
• Communicate with residents, families and healthcare team.
• Encourage resident activities to enhance health and daily routines.

What You’ll Do & Key Responsibilities:

• Support daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, and passing medications.
• Deliver emotional support and provide companionship while fostering a positive and engaging environment.
• Provide health monitoringand conducting routine vital checks.
• Interact and communicate with residents, families, as well as the healthcare team.
• Encourage and facilitate resident recreational and therapeutic activities to enhance health and daily routines.
• Adhere to infection control protocolsto ensure a clean and safe environment for safety.

Qualifications:

• Active Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification in the state of Iowa, or the ability to activate certification.

• Valid certification as a Medication Aide. Medication Aide must be valid within the state of Iowa, or ability to activate.

• Strong commitment to resident care, professionalism, and teamwork.
