Job summary

Pillar of Cedar Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a Certified Medication Aide to provide compassionate care for residents on the Friday, Saturday, and Sunday shifts. You will work closely with the care team to implement individualized plans and ensure medications are administered safely and accurately.

The role requires CMA Iowa certification and current CPR certification, with opportunities for growth within a supportive, recognition-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Certified Medication Aide certification for Iowa is required.
• Current CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assess the residents’ needs and assist in developing and following individual care plans
• Assure quality care is delivered through the CMA processes and guidelines
• Identify and communicate changes in residents’ status to physicians, staff, and family members
• Administer medications, and other direct care as prescribed and indicated
• Communicate appropriate information to all staff to provide a smooth shift transition
• Report any suspected abuse to appropriate authority
• Document appropriately as needed or required in PCC
• Push/pull 30 pounds of force required to move medication carts and to transport residents in wheelchair
