Job summary

White Acres Wellness & Rehabilitation is seeking a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join the nursing team under the charge nurse. The CMA will ensure timely and accurate med passes to maintain high-quality resident care, with supervision and guidance as needed.

Qualified candidates must hold a CMA certification and communicate effectively in English. The position is on-site in El Paso, TX, with benefits for full-time employees and opportunities for raises and bonuses.

Qualifications

• English communication skills (spoken and written).
• Previous patient care experience preferred.
• Current certification for Medication Aide (CMA) is required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in shift reports.
• Provide routine patient care following policies and procedures.
• Follow infection control practices (hand hygiene, etc.).
• Report changes in patient condition to the supervisor.
• Document per charting guidelines and medication orders.
• Attend meetings and trainings as required.
• Inventory medications and assist with ordering when needed.

Job Summary

Certified Medication Aide (CMA) will be under the direct supervision of the charge nurse. The charge nurse will follow up with the CMA to ensure the med pass is completed timely and accurately to assure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively in English through both speech and writing.
• Previous patient care experience preferred.
• Current certification for Medication Aide.

CLINICAL

• Participate in Shift Report.
• Perform routine patient care in accordance with Federal, State, Company and Center nursing policies and procedures.
• Employs preventative and restorative measures.
• Follows hand washing techniques and other infection control guidelines during the performance of patient care.

ADMINISTRATIVE

• Reports promptly any change of patient condition or other concerns to Patient Care Supervisor.
• Follow charting guidelines for PRN documentation.
• Reports medication reorder, etc.
• Participates in all assigned meetings.
• Participates in all training, education or in-service as required.
• Inventory drugs, on the designated forms, as they arrive.
