Job summary

Ivy Creek Wellness & Rehabilitation in Texas is seeking a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to support our residents with compassionate, accurate med passes under the direct supervision of the charge nurse.

You will participate in shift reports, perform routine patient care per policy, practice infection control, and assist with medication reconciliation while maintaining high-quality resident care and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively in English through speech and writing.
• Previous patient care experience preferred.
• Current certification for Medication Aide.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Shift Report.
• Perform routine patient care per policies and procedures.
• Employ preventative and restorative measures.
• Follow infection control guidelines during patient care.
• Report changes to the Patient Care Supervisor.
• Follow charting guidelines for PRN documentation.
• Inventory drugs on designated forms.

Job Summary

Certified Medication Aide (CMA) will be under the direct supervision of the charge nurse. The charge nurse will follow up with the CMA to ensure the med pass is completed timely and accurately to assure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to communicate effectively in English through both speech and writing.
• Previous patient care experience preferred.
• Current certification for Medication Aide.

CLINICAL

• Participate in Shift Report.
• Perform routine patient care in accordance with Federal, State, Company and Center nursing policies and procedures.
• Employs preventative and restorative measures.
• Follows hand washing techniques and other infection control guidelines during the performance of patient care.

ADMINISTRATIVE

• Reports promptly any change of patient condition or other concerns to Patient Care Supervisor.
• Follow charting guidelines for PRN documentation.
• Reports medication reorder, etc.
• Participates in all assigned meetings.
• Participates in all training, education or in-service as required.
• Inventory drugs, on the designated forms, as they arrive.
