Job summary

The Village of Ackley is seeking a dedicated Certified Medication Aide (CMA) / Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide compassionate care for residents. Join a caring team with staffing ratios that support personalized care, and a culture where every voice is heard.

Shifts available: Weekend pack on 1st shift from 6am-2pm or 6am-6pm on Saturdays and Sundays. We offer attendance bonuses, shift differentials, strong health benefits, and a path for growth within a mission-driven community.

Qualifications

• Must possess current active CNA license in Iowa.
• Must possess current CMA certification in Iowa.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to residents under nurse guidance and with the team.
• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, mobility, and personal hygiene.
• Respond promptly to resident requests and follow individualized care plans.
• Maintain accurate charts and communicate effectively with team for best outcomes.
• Uphold residents' rights and dignity at all times.

Your Role as a CNA/CMA:

• Provide compassionate care to residents, under the guidance of the nurse and alongside your supportive team
• Assist residents with daily activities, including bathing, dressing, mobility, and personal hygiene
• Promptly respond to resident requests and provide care according to their unique care plans
• Maintain accurate charts and effective communication with your team to ensure the best care outcomes
• Uphold residents' rights and dignity at all times

What You’ll Need:

• Must possess a current active license to practice as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Iowa.
• Must possess a current active certification to practice as a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) in Iowa.
• A compassionate, kind, and respectful nature with a true servant’s heart
• Experience in nursing care is a plus, but we’re happy to train the right person!
