Job summary

The Village of Ackley seeks a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to provide high-quality resident care under nurse supervision. Join a supportive team that values dignity and personalized care.

Weekend shift options are available (1st shift 6am-2pm or 6am-6pm Sat/Sun). Benefits include attendance bonus, shift differential, health benefits, flexible PTO, and a 401(k). Training offered for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current active license to practice as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Iowa.
• Must possess a current active certification to practice as a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) in Iowa.
• Compassionate, kind, and respectful nature with a servant’s heart.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to residents under nurse supervision.
• Assist residents with daily activities including bathing, dressing, mobility, and personal hygiene.
• Respond to resident requests and follow care plans.
• Maintain accurate charts and communicate effectively with the team.
• Uphold residents' rights and dignity at all times.

Your Role as a CNA/CMA:

• Provide compassionate care to residents, under the guidance of the nurse and alongside your supportive team
• Assist residents with daily activities, including bathing, dressing, mobility, and personal hygiene
• Promptly respond to resident requests and provide care according to their unique care plans
• Maintain accurate charts and effective communication with your team to ensure the best care outcomes
• Uphold residents' rights and dignity at all times

What You’ll Need:

• Must possess a current active license to practice as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Iowa.
• Must possess a current active certification to practice as a Certified Medication Aide (CNA) in Iowa.
• A compassionate, kind, and respectful nature with a true servant’s heart
• Experience in nursing care is a plus, but we’re happy to train the right person!
