Fonda Specialty Care, a 46-bed skilled nursing community in Fonda, IA, is hiring a Certified Medication Aide (CMA). Full-Time and Part-Time Evening schedules are available with a competitive hourly rate and shift differential.

Join Care Initiatives’ network of Iowa facilities to care for residents; you will assist daily living activities, monitor health, administer medications, and collaborate with residents, families and the healthcare team.

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification in Iowa or ability to activate
• Medication Aide certification valid in Iowa or ability to activate
• Strong commitment to resident care, professionalism, and teamwork
• Compassionate, patient, respectful demeanor

Responsibilities

• Support daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, medications)
• Provide emotional support and companionship
• Monitor health and conduct routine vital checks
• Interact with residents, families and healthcare team
• Encourage resident recreational and therapeutic activities
• Adhere to infection control protocols for a safe environment

What You’ll Do & Key Responsibilities

• Support daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, and passing medications.
• Deliver emotional support and provide companionship while fostering a positive and engaging environment.
• Provide health monitoring and conducting routine vital checks.
• Interact and communicate with residents, families, as well as the healthcare team.
• Encourage and facilitate resident recreational and therapeutic activities to enhance health and daily routines.
• Adhere to infection control protocols to ensure a clean and safe environment for safety.

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification in the state of Iowa, or the ability to activate certification.
• Valid certification as a Medication Aide. Medication Aide must be valid within the state of Iowa, or ability to activate.
• Strong commitment to resident care, professionalism, and teamwork.
• Compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor.
