Job summary

OPCO Skilled Management is seeking a qualified Medication Aide to administer prescribed medications to residents in a long-term care setting. The role requires careful documentation, strict adherence to state regulations, and timely administration of doses under supervision.

The position is full-time with a 6am-4pm schedule. State-law certification is required, and prior long-term care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Certified as required by state law.
• Previous experience in long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers prescribed medications and treatments as defined by state regulations in accordance with approved techniques and notes time and amount on resident’s chart.
• Verifies identity of resident receiving medication and records name of drug, dosage, and time of administration on specified forms and records.
• Presents medication to residents and observes ingestion or other application, or administers medication, using specified procedures.
• Performs any miscellaneous work assignments as may be required.
