Job summary

Rehabilitation Center of Lisbon in Lisbon, IA is seeking Certified Medication Aides to join our caring team. The role focuses on administering medications, assisting with daily living activities, and monitoring residents to ensure high-quality care.

Required is a high school diploma or equivalent with an Iowa CNA certificate, Iowa-approved Medication Aide training, and CPR certification. Prior CNA and Medication Aide experience is preferred, with investor in the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Valid Iowa CNA license or certificate.
• Completion of State of Iowa approved Medication Aide training.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and monitor residents as prescribed.
• Assist with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Observe residents for changes in condition and report promptly.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and document care.
• Provide education to residents and families as needed.

As a Medication Aide you are the front line of the Clinical Department. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Rehabilitation Center of Lisbon by providing our residents with the medications they need, performing Activities of Daily Living, observing changes in condition, ensuring a safe environment, and maintaining education. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they are comfortable and safe.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent, an unencumbered State of Iowa C.N.A. certificate, successful completion of State of Iowa approved Medication Aide training and C.P.R. certification. One (1) year of C.N.A. and Medication Aide experience is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate.
