Job summary

Rehabilitation Center of Independence West Campus in Iowa is seeking Certified Medication Aides to join a friendly, caring and supportive team, delivering medications and assisting residents with daily needs.

As a front-line member of the Clinical Department, you will help residents receive the medications they need, observe changes in condition, maintain a safe environment, and participate in ongoing training to support quality care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Unencumbered Iowa CNA certificate.
• Completion of Iowa Medication Aide training.
• CPR certification.
• 1 year CNA/Medication Aide experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide medications to residents and monitor effects.
• Assist with activities of daily living.
• Observe residents' condition changes and report.
• Maintain a safe environment and educate residents about care.

As a Medication Aide you are the front line of the Clinical Department. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Rehabilitation Center of Independence West Campus by providing our residents with the medications they need, performing Activities of Daily Living, observing changes in condition, ensuring a safe environment, and maintaining education. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they are comfortable and safe.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent, an unencumbered State of Iowa C.N.A. certificate, successful completion of State of Iowa approved Medication Aide training and C.P.R. certification. One (1) year of C.N.A. and Medication Aide experience is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate.
