Legacy Healthcare LLC's Rehabilitation Center of Independence West Campus in Independence, IA, is seeking Certified Medication Aides to join a friendly, caring team. You will be on the front line of the Clinical Department, ensuring residents receive medications and assistance with daily living.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, an unencumbered Iowa CNA certificate, Iowa-approved Medication Aide training, CPR certification, and ideally one year of CNA and Medication Aide

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Unencumbered State of Iowa CNA certificate required.
• Successful completion of State of Iowa approved Medication Aide training required.
• CPR certification required.
• One (1) year of CNA and Medication Aide experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Responsibilities include being the front line of the Clinical Department and ensuring residents receive medications as prescribed.
• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living.
• Observe changes in residents' condition and report to nursing staff.
• Maintain a safe environment and proper documentation/education for residents.

As a Medication Aide you are the front line of the Clinical Department. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Rehabilitation Center of Independence West Campus by providing our residents with the medications they need, performing Activities of Daily Living, observing changes in condition, ensuring a safe environment, and maintaining education. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they are comfortable and safe.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent, an unencumbered State of Iowa C.N.A. certificate, successful completion of State of Iowa approved Medication Aide training and C.P.R. certification. One (1) year of C.N.A. and Medication Aide experience is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate.
