Job summary

Harmony Dubuque is seeking Certified Medication Aides to join a caring clinical team. You will administer medications, assist residents with daily living activities, and help maintain a safe environment while ensuring residents receive the medications they need.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid Iowa CNA certificate, Iowa-approved Medication Aide training, and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Unencumbered Iowa CNA certificate.
• Completion of State of Iowa approved Medication Aide training.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications to residents and monitor effects.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Observe changes in residents' conditions and report promptly.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and educate residents when needed.

As a Certified Medication Aide you are the front line of the Clinical Department. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Harmony Dubuque by providing our residents with the medications they need, performing Activities of Daily Living, observing changes in condition, ensuring a safe environment, and maintaining education. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they are comfortable and safe.

As a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent, an unencumbered State of Iowa C.N.A. certificate, successful completion of State of Iowa approved Medication Aide training and C.P.R. certification.
