Job summary

Harmony Cedar Rapids is seeking a Certified Medication Aide to join our skilled nursing team. You will administer medications and support residents with daily activities, ensuring safety and high-quality care in a friendly, caring environment.

Eligible applicants should hold a Iowa CNA certificate and CPR; experience is preferred but we are ready to train the right candidate. We offer competitive wages, shift differentials, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Unencumbered Iowa CNA certificate.
• State-approved Medication Aide training.
• CPR certification.
• One year CNA and Medication Aide experience preferred, but we will invest in the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and monitor residents for changes.
• Assist with Activities of Daily Living and maintain a safe environment.
• Observe and report changes to the clinical team and ensure quality care.

As a Certified Medication Aide you are the front line of the Clinical Department. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Harmony Cedar Rapids by providing our residents with the medications they need, performing Activities of Daily Living, observing changes in condition, ensuring a safe environment, and maintaining education. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they are comfortable and safe.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent, an unencumbered State of Iowa C.N.A. certificate, successful completion of State of Iowa approved Medication Aide training and C.P.R. certification. One (1) year of C.N.A. and Medication Aide experience is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate!
