Job summary

Willow Dale Wellness Village is seeking Certified Medication Aides to join our caring team. You will ensure residents receive medications and assist with daily living tasks in a supportive, safe environment.

Applicants should have an Iowa CNA certificate, completing Medication Aide training and CPR certification. One year of CNA and Medication Aide experience is preferred, with opportunities for growth within the facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Unencumbered Iowa CNA certificate.
• State of Iowa approved Medication Aide training.
• CPR certification required or equivalent.
• One year CNA and Medication Aide experience preferred but negotiable.

Responsibilities

• Distribute medications to residents and monitor effects.
• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
• Observe changes in residents' condition.
• Maintain a safe environment and uphold education for residents.
• Support the clinical department as frontline staff.

As a Medication Aide you are the front line of the Clinical Department. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Willow Dale Wellness Village by providing our residents with the medications they need, performing Activities of Daily Living, observing changes in condition, ensuring a safe environment, and maintaining education. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they are comfortable and safe.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent, an unencumbered State of Iowa C.N.A. certificate, successful completion of State of Iowa approved Medication Aide training and C.P.R. certification. One (1) year of C.N.A. and Medication Aide experience is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate.
