Job summary

Valley Vue Care Center is seeking Certified Medication Aides to join our committed nursing team on a PRN (on-call) basis. You will help administer medications, assist residents with daily activities, and monitor health status to ensure safety and comfort.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Unencumbered State of Iowa CNA certificate.
• State of Iowa approved Medication Aide training.
• CPR certification.
• 1 year of CNA and Medication Aide experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as front line of the Clinical Department, administering medications and assisting with daily living activities.
• Monitor residents, observe condition changes, and report concerns to the care team.
• Maintain a safe environment and adhere to education and training requirements.
• Provide compassionate care and support to residents and families.

As a Certified Medication Aide you are the front line of the Clinical Department. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Valley Vue Care Center by providing our residents with the medications they need, performing Activities of Daily Living, observing changes in condition, ensuring a safe environment, and maintaining education. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they are comfortable and safe.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent, an unencumbered State of Iowa C.N.A. certificate, successful completion of State of Iowa approved Medication Aide training and C.P.R. certification. One (1) year of C.N.A. and Medication Aide experience is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate.
