Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certified Medication Aide certificate from the Ohio Board of Nursing required.
• Completion of first aid training and CPR required.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications as prescribed and under direction of a licensed nurse; complete documentation.
• Promptly report resident needs for PRN medications to the nurse.
• Report adverse or concerning reactions to medications to the nurse.
• Communicate effectively with residents, staff, management and families.
• Be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices within the CMA scope.
• Provide physical resident care including hygiene and grooming.
• Answer call lights promptly and respond to residents’ needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Care.
