Job summary

Arbors at Sylvania in Toledo, OH is seeking a Licensed Medication Aide (MA-C) for the 3rd shift to coordinate and administer medications for residents in our skilled nursing facility. The role requires a valid Medication Technician certification in the state, CPR certification, and about one year of nursing experience.

You will supervise junior staff, document conditions, and ensure compliance with state rules.

Qualifications

• Must possess current Medication Technician certification in the state employed.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• About one year of nursing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Documents residents’ condition and nursing needs.
• Implements physicians’ orders accurately and promptly.
• Supervises and evaluates junior staff and CNAs.
• Administers medications and documents treatments per rules and regulations.
• Participates in orientation and in-service training for personnel.
• Ensures supplies are used economically and equipment is maintained safely.
• Reports and records pertinent observations and reactions regarding residents.
