Qualifications

• Holds a valid Medication Aide and Nursing Assistant Certification in Texas.
• Successfully completed competency evaluation per state guidelines.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents with dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting, and exercising.
• Administers medications under RN/LVN supervision and follows physician orders.
• Documents medication administration on the resident's MAR and notes any refusals or changes.
• Transfers, transports and escorts residents as needed.
• Checks medication labels, dosages, and identifiers to ensure accuracy.
• Responds to resident needs and signals promptly and professionally.
