Job summary

Ideal candidates have CCS/CCA/CPC certification or eligibility, strong attention to detail, and solid knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS. Proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook is beneficial.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes per official guidelines.
• Review EHRs, verify documentation, and abstract information for billing/reports.
• Communicate with providers and Patient Financial Services to resolve discrepancies.
• Organize, file, and deliver medical records while protecting confidentiality per HIPAA.
• Compile and report statistics and support the HIM team to meet goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
