Jobrapido is seeking an experienced Certified Medical Coder with outpatient and ED coding experience for a 100% remote contract in the United States. The position requires 3+ years of outpatient coding, including ED coding, and proficiency with 3M and HDS coding systems.

The role offers a weekly 35-hour schedule (Mon–Fri, some weekend day work) and a pay rate of $35/hr on W2. Healthcare benefits are included, and the assignment lasts 8 weeks with potential extension.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of outpatient medical coding experience.
• Emergency Room/ED coding experience required.
• Acute care coding experience.
• Proficiency with 3M Coding Application.
• Knowledge of HDS Coding Application.
• Knowledge of ICD-10, ICD-9-CM and CPT-4.
• Strong understanding of coding, payer, and federal billing guidelines.
• Strong computer skills.
• Ability to research and resolve coding issues.
• CCS, CCP, AHIMA RHIT certifications.
• High School Diploma/GED required.
• English proficiency required.
