Job summary

DaMar Staffing is seeking a Coding Specialist to assign ICD-10-CM, PCS and CPT codes to records of discharged patients and to determine DRGs for inpatient visits. You will ensure accuracy and compliance in medical coding and billing processes.

The role requires at least a high school diploma, 1 year of experience, and a Certified Coding Specialist credential (CPCCOCCICCOC-PCPC-ACCS or equivalent).

Qualifications

• Minimum education: High school or equivalent.
• Minimum work experience: 1 year.
• Certification: Certified coding specialist with CPCCOCCICCOC-PCPC-ACCS.

Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10-CM; PCS; and/or CPT codes to records of discharged patients; depending on the type of visit.
• Assign appropriate DRG to IP visits.
