Job summary

Quincy Medical Group is seeking a Certified Coder to support accurate, compliant coding across the organization. You will review documentation, assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes, and help ensure timely reimbursement. Collaborate with providers and revenue cycle teams to maintain coding integrity and compliance.

The role is full-time, based in Quincy, IL, with potential hybrid work after 6 months. Base pay ranges from $20.57 to $30.86 per hour, with bonuses and incentives beyond base pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current coding certification CPC, CCS, CCS-P, COC, or equivalent.
• Experience in physician practice or revenue cycle preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and reimbursement methodologies.
• Experience with electronic health records and coding software preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining productivity and accuracy.
• Commitment to compliance and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Review clinical documentation and assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes.
• Ensure coding accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Identify documentation deficiencies and obtain clarifications from providers.
• Assist with coding audits, quality reviews, and compliance initiatives.
• Maintain knowledge of coding updates and reimbursement guidelines.
• Collaborate with providers, billing staff, and revenue cycle teams to resolve issues.
• Support charge capture accuracy and timely claim submission.
• Maintain productivity and confidentiality of patient information.
