Job summary

Northern Montana Hospital is seeking a Certified Medical Coder to assign and sequence ICD-10-CM, CPT and HCPCS codes for diagnoses and procedures. This role requires familiarity with rural health clinic requirements and the hospital's electronic health record system.

The ideal candidate will have at least a high school diploma, one year of coding experience preferred, and a certification such as CCA, CCS, CCS-P, CPC or CPC-H. Competitive benefits offered.

The not-for-profit, 25-bed Critical Access Hospital features a 24-hour physician-staffed emergency department, with state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging and electronic medical record services. Our large, quiet labor/birthing rooms are private and located away from other patient care areas. The private patient rooms on the 5th floor Medical/Surgical Department boast views from every window.

For the convenience of our patients, we also host visiting physicians at our clinics in the areas of:

About the role

The Certified Medical Coder assigns and sequences ICD-10-CM, CPT AND HCPCS codes to diagnosis and procedures

for documented information. Must be knowledgeable of the requirements for rural health clinics, and the electronic health record used by Northern Montana Health Care

Qualifications
  • Completion of high school or equivalent.
  • One year of coding experience preferred.
  • Certification as CCA, CCS, CCS-P, CPC or CPC-H is required.
