Qualifications

• Active CPC/CCS/CCS-P or equivalent certification.
• Minimum 2 years of medical billing and coding experience.
• Proficient in ICD-10-CM, CPT and HCPCS coding.
• Experience with EHR and medical billing software.

Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes to patient records.
• Prepare and submit clean claims to insurance carriers, Medicare, and Medicaid.
• Review denials, rejections, and appeals in a timely manner.
• Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and payer-specific billing guidelines.
• Conduct charge entry, payment posting, and AR follow-up.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to clarify documentation and resolve coding discrepancies.
