The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) at UMC Urgent Care KingsPark provides direct patient care under physician supervision, assists with procedures, and helps maintain smooth clinic operations to ensure a positive patient experience.

This fast-paced role requires accurate vitals, specimen collection, injections, charting, and coordinating with nurses and staff while delivering compassionate care and teamwork.

Qualifications

• CMA certification from the NHA, NAHP, AAMA, or NCCT.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with blood draws, injections, rooming patients, med refills, etc.
• Spanish bilingual, fluent (preferred).

Responsabilités

• Conduct business in a professional manner and work as a team with other members of the clinic.
• Deliver direct patient care to patients as assigned, using established procedures.
• Document history; recording and reporting pertinent observations and patient reactions to staff; document lab procedures and ensure follow up on results.
• Use screening procedures, including medical history review, and observe and document patient vital signs as required.
• Maintain quality results by running standards and controls.
• Prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments.
• Verify equipment function through routine equipment maintenance and advanced troubleshooting; calibrate equipment utilizing approved testing procedures; monitor quality control measures and protocols.
• Train other technicians or workers.
• Assist with or institute emergency measures for sudden adverse developments during treatments.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
