Conway Medical Center is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support urgent care operations in Little River, SC. The CMA will accompany patients, prepare for exams, document vitals, assist with procedures, and administer medications with physician authorization.

Candidate should have a high school diploma and at least two years of clinical experience in a physician office. BLS cert is required and strong patient-service skills are essential.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of clinical experience in a physician office setting strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of standard medical office practices and procedures required.
• Knowledge of current referral sources/authorization processes preferred.

Aufgaben

• Greet patients and accompanying family members with exemplary customer service.
• Accompany patients into exam rooms and prepare them for exams.
• Perform and document vital signs; assist with procedures; prepare and administer medications with physician’s authorization.
• Reinforce patient education regarding office policies, medications, and transitional care.
• Retrieve lab and x-ray reports when needed; handle referrals and authorizations; complete medical forms.
• Assist with office responsibilities such as answering phones, scheduling, filing, stocking supplies.
• Utilize organizational skills and maintain professional communication in all situations.
• Demonstrate proficiency in PC usage and independent judgment.
