Job summary

Conway Medical Center is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support urgent care operations in Little River, SC. The CMA will accompany patients, prepare for exams, document vitals, assist with procedures, and administer medications with physician authorization.

Position Summary

The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) will be responsible for accompanying patients to exam rooms, preparing patients for exams, performing, and documenting vital signs, assisting with procedures, preparing and administering medications with physician’s authorization. Qualifications

Education

Experience

• A minimum of two (2) years prior clinical experience working in a physician office setting strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of standard medical office practices and procedures required.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through an accredited agency required.
• Basic Life Saving (BLS) certification required.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Greet all patients and their accompanying family members when applicable and provide exemplary customer service.
• Accompany patients into exam rooms and prepare patients for exams.
