Job summary

Talentify in Granger, IN is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and clinic operations. Under supervision, you will perform clerical and patient care duties, assist with examinations, perform EKGs, take medical histories, prepare patients, manage scheduling, and handle billing and EMR data entry.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, MA certification, Spanish is a plus, and flexibility for overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification as Medical Assistant preferred or required.
• Experience in a medical office environment is beneficial.
• Spanish language ability is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician and nursing staff with examinations and procedures.
• Perform routine laboratory tests and EKGs as ordered.
• Record medical histories and prepare patients for exams.
• Manage patient scheduling and admissions information.
• Handle telephone inquiries, messages, and patient records.
• Support billing, coding, and data entry in the EMR system.
