Job summary

Suburban Community Medical Group in Springtown, PA, is seeking a Per Diem Medical Assistant to support patient care, transport patients, and perform dispatcher and clerical duties in a busy clinic.

The role requires a high school diploma, MA or RMA certification within 2 years, 1–2 years healthcare office experience, and proficiency with Microsoft Office; BLS certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Certification as a Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant within 2 years of hire.
• 1-2 years in general or healthcare office, preferred.
• Strong experience in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint, preferred.
• Must exhibit a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and medical staff services department and/or acute care hospital experience, preferred.
• BLS certification.
• Needs to be an experienced caregiver and have practical office training.

Responsibilities

• Assist in patient care in nursing areas and safely transport patients by wheelchair or stretcher.
• Provide observer services for patients needing constant observation.

Responsibilities

Assists in patient care throughout nursing areas, and is responsible for the safe transport of patients via wheelchair or stretcher, dispatch services and appropriate documentation of services. Provides the services of an observer for any patient on a patient care unit who has been assessed to require constant observation in order to maximize his/her safety. Performs general receptionist and clerical duties in order to facilitate efficient functioning of the clinic.

Qualifications

1. High School Diploma required

2. Certification as a Medical Assistant or a Registered Medical Assistant within 2 years of hire
