Job summary

UCF Health Faculty Physician Practice in Orlando, FL is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our clinical team and support daily operations.

The CMA will perform both administrative and clinical tasks, including patient preparation, vitals, specimen collection, and handling consent and HIPAA forms. This is a full-time, on-site role with a Monday–Friday schedule and a collaborative workplace with paid time off.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant certification required and current.
• 0+ years of relevant experience.
• Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking abilities.
• Familiarity with eCW systems and basic computer skills.
• Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare patients for exams.
• Take vital signs and medical histories.
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens; perform point-of-care testing.
• Ensure forms are signed/dated (consent, ABN, HIPAA, etc.).
• Communicate documented results to patients after physician review and update medical records.

Schedule: Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm No Weekends

What You'll Do

As a CMA, you’ll be a vital part of our clinical team, responsible for both administrative and clinical tasks, including:

• Greeting and preparing patients for exams
• Taking vital signs and medical histories
• Collects and prepares laboratory specimens, Performs point-of-care testing in office
• Ensures proper forms are signed and dated, such as consent to treat, Advance Beneficiary Notice (ABN) forms, medical releases, and HIPAA forms
• Documented results communicated to the patient after physician has reviewed the results, updates medical records
