UCF Health Faculty Physician Practice is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support primary care services in the Orlando area. This full-time role focuses on patient preparation, vital signs, specimen collection, in-office testing, and ensuring forms are correctly completed.

Qualifications

• 0+ years of relevant CMA experience.
• Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking abilities.
• Familiarity with eCW electronic health record systems.

Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare patients for exams.
• Take vital signs and document medical histories.
• Collect and prepare lab specimens, perform point-of-care testing.
• Ensure consent forms and HIPAA forms are properly signed.
• Document results and update medical records after physician review.

What You'll Do

• Greeting and preparing patients for exams
• Taking vital signs and medical histories
• Collects and prepares laboratory specimens, performs point-of-care testing in office
• Ensures proper forms are signed and dated, such as consent to treat, Advance Beneficiary Notice (ABN) forms, medical releases, and HIPAA forms
• Document results communicated to the patient after physician has reviewed the results, updates medical records
