Job summary

UCF Health is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant to join our Faculty Physician Practice in Orlando. The CMA will support both administrative and clinical tasks to improve patient care and workflow.

Schedule is Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm, with no weekends; located at UCF Health Orlando and multiple locations including East Orlando & Lake Nona. Competitive benefits and a collaborative team environment are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be a certified Medical Assistant with current CMA certification.
• 0 years of relevant experience accepted.
• Strong communication, organization and multitasking skills.
• Tech savvy with basic computer skills; familiarity with eCW systems.

Responsibilities

• Greeting and preparing patients for exams.
• Taking vital signs and medical histories.
• Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens.
• Performs point of care testing in the office.
• Ensures consent to treat ABN and HIPAA forms are signed and dated.
• Documented results communicated to the patient after physician review and updates to medical records.

What Youll Do

As a CMA youll be a vital part of our clinical team responsible for both administrative and clinical tasks including

• Greeting and preparing patients for exams
• Taking vital signs and medical histories
• Collects and prepares laboratory specimens
• Performs point of care testing in office
• Ensures proper forms are signed and dated such as consent to treat Advance Beneficiary Notice ABN forms medical releases and HIPAA forms
• Documented results communicated to the patient after physician has reviewed the results updates medical records
