Job summary

Mercy Health in Fairfield seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to work closely with the primary care physician, delivering excellent patient care within the Medical Assisting scope and state guidelines.

The CMA reviews and updates health records, measures vitals, and prepares treatment rooms for examinations, coordinating with the clinical team to ensure smooth patient flow. Strong communication and clerical abilities are required.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED is required.
• Active Medical Assisting certification from one of the listed associations is required.
• BLS Basic Life Support is required at hire (preferred for some locations).

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and the community in a respectful manner.
• Prepare & review patient charts for upcoming visits by verifying diagnostic test results and other records.
• Measure vital signs such as pulse, respiration, blood pressure, weight, and height.
• Perform clerical duties such as checking inventory, stocking supplies, tracking referrals, and answering phones.
