Job summary

Visiting Nurse Association Health Group seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to join the Primary Care team, supporting providers and patient workflows across four Community Health Center sites in Asbury Park, Red Bank, Freehold, and Keyport. The ideal candidate has a Medical Assistant Certificate, 6+ months of experience, EKG/phlebotomy skills, CPR certification, and a NJ driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Medical Assistant Certificate from an approved school.
• 6 months+ of supervised medical assistant experience preferred.
• Experience in EKG and phlebotomy.
• CPR certification.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
• Valid New Jersey Driver’s license and auto insurance.

Visiting Nurse Association of Central Jersey Community Health Center (VNACJ CHC) offers comprehensive, community based, preventive, primary care and wellness services for New Jersey residents of all ages at four convenient locations. CHC health care services are designed to meet the specific needs of the entire family - from annual check-ups and immunizations to sick visits, mental health counseling and critical prenatal care.

Position Summary

Job Competencies & Minimum Qualifications

Working Conditions/Physical Demand: Working indoors with telephone, copier, fax machine, computer, printer, centrifuge, electric exam table, glucometer, nebulizer, needles/syringes, oxygen equipment, personal automobile, scales, sphygmomanometer, stethoscope, thermometer, venipuncture equipment, wheelchair.

In compliance with New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act, the compensation range for this position is USD $20.00 to USD $26.00.
