Job summary

Visiting Nurse Association of Central Jersey Community Health Center (VNACJ CHC) seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to join the primary care team in Freehold, NJ. The role supports providers, engages with patients, and helps ensure smooth visits. Evening and weekend rotation and travel between four CHC locations are required.

The candidate will work in a collaborative care setting with a focus on accurate records and medication coordination. A CMA cert, NJ license, and CPR are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Medical Assistant Certificate from an approved school.
• 6 months+ of supervised medical assistant experience preferred.
• Experience in EKG and phlebotomy.
• CPR certification.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
• Valid New Jersey driver's license and auto insurance.

• Assists provider with patient workflow and maintaining clinical records.
• Executes order and performs related duties as ordered according to standard operating procedure.

• Adheres to the organization’s policy in regards to absenteeism and appearance.

Visiting Nurse Association of Central Jersey Community Health Center (VNACJ CHC) offers comprehensive, community based, preventive, primary care and wellness services for New Jersey residents of all ages at four convenient locations. CHC health care services are designed to meet the specific needs of the entire family – from annual check-ups and immunizations to sick visits, mental health counseling andcritical prenatal care.

We are currently seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our primary care team at our Freehold, NJ location. In this role, you’ll be an essential part of a collaborative care environment, supporting providers, engaging directly with patients, and helping ensure every visit is smooth, efficient, and positive. This role includes evening and weekend rotation, as well as travel between our four Community Health Center locations.

Job Competencies & Minimum Qualifications:

Working Conditions/Physical Demand

Working indoors with telephone, copier, fax machine, computer, printer, centrifuge, electric exam table, glucometer, nebulizer, needles/syringes, oxygen equipment, personal automobile, scales, sphygmomanometer, stethoscope, thermometer, venipuncture equipment, wheelchair.

In compliance with New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act, the compensation range for this position is USD $16.00 to USD $24.00.
