Job summary

VNACJ CHC in Red Bank, NJ seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to join our four-site community health network. This full‑time role supports providers, engages directly with patients, and ensures smooth, efficient visits.

Evening and weekend rotation and travel between locations are required. Requirements include a High School diploma or GED, a Medical Assistant Certificate, CPR, and 6 months+ MA experience; EKG and phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Medical Assistant Certificate from an approved school.
• 6 months+ supervised medical assistant experience preferred.
• Experience in EKG and phlebotomy.
• CPR certification.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
• Valid New Jersey driver’s license and auto insurance.

• Assists provider with patient workflow and maintaining clinical records.
• Executes order and performs related duties as ordered according to standard operating procedure.

• Adheres to agency infection control and safety policies.
• Adheres to the organization’s policy in regards to absenteeism and appearance.

Visiting Nurse Association of Central Jersey Community Health Center (VNACJ CHC) offers comprehensive, community based, preventive, primary care and wellness services for New Jersey residents of all ages at four convenient locations. CHC health care services are designed to meet the specific needs of the entire family – from annual check-ups and immunizations to sick visits, mental health counseling andcritical prenatal care.

We are currently seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at our Red Bank, NJ location. In this role, you’ll be an essential part of a collaborative care environment, supporting providers, engaging directly with patients, and helping ensure every visit is smooth, efficient, and positive. This full‑time role includes an evening and weekend rotation and involves travel between our four Community Health Center locations to ensure consistent care for every patient we serve.

Job Competencies & Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED

• Medical Assistant Certificate from an approved school

• Valid New Jersey driver’s license and auto insurance

Working Conditions/Physical Demand:

Working indoors with telephone, copier, fax machine, computer, printer, centrifuge, electric exam table, glucometer, nebulizer, needles/syringes, oxygen equipment, personal automobile, scales, sphygmomanometer, stethoscope, thermometer, venipuncture equipment, wheelchair.

In compliance with New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act, the compensation range for this position is USD $16.00 to USD $24.00.
